DISKREPANT - 'Ex Machina Libertas' CD (Fractured Spaces)
This is the fourth release for Swedish artist Diskrepant (Per Åhlund) and this time we’re entering a dystopian vision of the future of mankind with a nightmare amalgamation of flesh and machine. Using subtle environmental field recordings, Diskrepant dives into a Hadean vision of a world where people are half-human / half-robot - a world where nature is slowly being squeezed by metal and glass.

GENERIC - 'Torture' CD (Fractured Spaces)
Generic’s “Torture” is a long and deeply unsettling journey into the beating black heart, and Antarctic iciness of the collective shattered psyche, of a shattered mankind. Created using ‘foley tracks’ and sound effects (used for both film and television), as well as the occasional guitars, bass, and found sounds, it all combines to produce a haunting, nerve-shredding, ghostly and schizophrenic soundtrack, guaranteed to simultaneously freeze the heart and mind, and induce cold sweat to bead the forehead and shivers to wrack the body. Six mid to long tracks of bleak mindscapes totalling just over 50 minutes and wrapped in beautiful full colour digipak with artwork by new German digital artist Thamus. Ltd x 1000.

KADAVER - 'Molested Into Form' CD (Fractured Spaces)
Apocalyptic doom noise from Israel. “Molested into Form” is the soundtrack to accompany our species’ inevitable (and, some would say, welcome) demise. Searing, grating electronics, mind-melting granularity, ferocious jet-engine sonic blasts and flesh-rending nastiness all combine to bring us a worthy paean to an already lost cause. .. welcome to the nightmare world of our future. Also included is a tribute to Jörg Buttgereit’s classic underground film “Nekromantik”.

KEPLERS ODD - 'Strena Seu De Nive Sexangula (A New Year's Gift Of Hexagonal Snow)' CD (Fractured Spaces Records)
From the darkest and coldest heart of Sweden comes the trio known as Keplers Odd (headed by Daniel Jansson of Deadwood). Seven tracks of noisy, yet subtly ambient guitar-driven sonic attacks, eerily redolent of the icy cold mysterious aurora-wrapped landscapes prevalent throughout Northern Europe, inhabited by creatures and monsters spawned from the myths and legends told around campfires over countless generations. Keplers Odd create textures, ambience and noise. But there is also quiet subtlety, sinister atmospherics and dark occult moods. Digipak. Ltd x 1000.

OSMAN ARABI - 'Burning Sigils' CD (Fractured Spaces)
Solo project of Lebanese artist Osman Arabi (20.SV / Seeker). "Burning Sigils" is a single 38-minute track of deeply hypnotic ethno-ambience tinged with a cold darkness; a forgotten text written in the blood of generations, a story of long-buried secrets and civilisations that worshipped dark gods in the hidden kingdoms, lost to time and memory, becoming covered by both sand and the unforgiving ravages of time. This languid and hip-swayingly sinister piece builds slowly, unfolding its narrative unhurriedly, in the same way that the ages-old deserts themselves have been around forever, in the process resurrecting the shades of aeons-dead peoples and blowing cold winds across the heat-ridden sandy wastes. Delve with us into the black heart of a now-vanished civilisation and visit the incense-filled temples of the gods of the arid places. Digipak.
