FOUNDATION HOPE - 'The Faded Reveries' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
Foundation Hope was formed in 2003 by Joep Smaling. The main idea was to make dark cinematic soundscapes with a strong focus on the harshness and cruelty of everyday life. Ironically presenting itself as a foundation, an institute that comforts seeking souls in times of distress, it is instead an attempt to confront the listener with moods of isolation, despair and sorrow. Drones, strings, melancholic tunes, confusing vocal-samples and cinematic moods. A very successful follow-up to their 2006 debut "A Call To All Redeemers" (Divine Comedy Records).

VA - 'Pere-Lachaise' CD (Steinklang / Divine Comedy)
A great compilation of dark and neoclassical music, dedicated to Père-Lachaise cemetery, which is one of the most romantic and mysterious places in this holy world. It's also an unmissable reference in gloomy and cinematic "tragical" culture. This musical journey is depicted by four acts (2 tracks each) from the new emerging Dark-Ambiant and Neo-Symphonic scene: Horologium, Project Winter, Artefactum and Foundation Hope. The mood is dark, menacing and epic at times with Horologium being the most martial act. The CD is packed in a beautiful 7" booklet with images by Fabrice Billard. Art and history beyond the grave.
