Methadrone METHADRONE - 'Sterility' CD (Foreshadow Productions)

US-based one-man project Methadrone is spearheaded by Craig Pillard (ex-Incantation), also known as bass player of doom metal band Evoken. Under the moniker of Methadrone, Pillard dives into murky waters of impenetrable sonic depth created by heavy and torturous guitar sounds. From the very first tunes of the title track “Sterility” you are taken down to witness the perfect musical desolation and dryness entrapped in eight inches of the silver plate. Methadrone's sound has evolved into more organic and original entity, defining Craig’s style and maturity as an independent musician. "With lights out and headphones on enter into the world of sound where no life dwells". Features guest vocals from David Galas (Lycia).

Nadja NADJA - 'Corrasion' CD (Foreshadow Productions)

"Corrasion" was originally released back in 2003 as a very limited edition of 200 copies. Due to overwhelming demand, "Corrasion" re-surfaces in 2007 as a CD proper, with Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff having re-recorded all the tracks in January 2007 giving them new arrangments, a heavier sound and therefore top-notch quality. Flowing and ever-changing soundscapes of massive guitar layers and delicate ambient passages weave a beautiful aural experience of grandiose proportions. "Corrasion" anno domini 2007 is simply one of the best drone / post-rock albums in years! Additionally, the album contains three bonus tracks which originally appeared on a couple compilations and a split release (with MOSS).

Thee Maldoror Kollective THEE MALDOROR KOLLECTIVE - 'Themes For Proxima' MCD (Foreshadow Productions)

With each new release, Italian group Thee Maldoror Kollective crosses the boundaries of avangarde music. Starting with black metal outbursts, they have come trough marriages with industrial, jazz and even opera. On "Themes for Proxima" TMK dive into cold dimensions of brave electronica. Music from this release was used in a Spanish movie production "Proxima", which only enhances its artistic value. Unpredictable and conventional, melodic and deconstructive, calm and frantic. Only a band with such an experience could compose music that is so mature. A bunch of critics have already compared them to ULVER, both in terms of development and breaking all the rules. Just under half an hour of music.

This Quiet Army THISQUIETARMY - 'Unconquered' CD (Foreshadow Productions)

Debut full-length album from Canadian one-man project ThisQuietArmy (aka Eric Quach, guitar player in DestroyAllDreamers). He has also collaborated and played live with fellow Canadian Aidan Baker (Nadja), who also collaborated on the first track of this disc. ThisQuietArmy explores the never-ending spectrum of guitar ambience and loop drone sounds. Quach manages to capture the essence of contemporary alternative guitar experimentation while maintaining a disturbing, yet captivating, aural atmosphere.
