"Kraftort" is the third album of Falkenstein, this time with a fresh progressive / psychedelic touch. The main theme of the album are our ancestors and the destiny of the ancient and veiled cult places. As a contrast to the mythological essence and the nature-mystical heathen lyrics you can find on this album a progressive apocalyptical song - a sombre vision of the future, that puts ourselves as ancestors for the coming ages and therefore a reflection upon us. How we will let nature and Midgard to our descendants? At the end will be the beginning! Falkenstein is definitely a unique and outstanding Neofolk artist of the new generation, who knows how to play his instruments and whose lyrics directly creep under the skin of each Pagan and Folk Music lover. FALKENSTEIN - 'Urdarbrunnen' CD (Heimatfolk)
Falkenstein's self produced debut-album "Heiliger Wald" gained a lot of praise in Folk music press. Their 2nd album "Urdarbrunnen" is now released by the Steinklang Neofolk sub-label Heimatfolk. "Urdarbrunnen" is again a perfecly played, strong and dreamingly beautiful album with a rich, varied instrumentation, even more dense and powerful than the debut album. The musical range lasts from acoustic ballads over Martial Folk songs to dark fairie tales about mysticism, paganism and natural rites in the Alpine regions. If Falkenstein were around 40 years earlier, they would stand in line with bands like early Steeleye Span, Magna Carta and Pentangle. Digipak with 16-page booklet.
