Two tracks from early cassette releases. Side A is an alternative version of "Terrain" by Jackman and Sanderson, originally released on the "0 Degrees North" cassette (Aeroplane 1982). With Jackman overdubbing low guttural growls on a steel strung cello and Sanderson programming coffee-percolation on a drum machine, "Terrain" is a lo-fi production that finds its companions in the work of Throbbing Gristle, Hunting Lodge, and the Broken Flag camp of noise. Side B is a solo piece by Jackman, originally released on the 'Adrift' cassette (Snatch Tapes 1981). It is similarly lo-fi with a hypnotic loop of a monochromatic guitar topped with clanging metals and samples from orchestral swells, which have been drained of all colour and replaced with a swampy din. More than 48 hours of recordings from reel-to-reel tapes has been unveiled and carefully converted to recover two hours worth of material. The production has been split in two parts as the 1st CD is Studio and the 2nd is Live. As a matter of interest, for fans of the debut LP "Unusual Perversions", a good percentage of the archives are c.1984 and unreleased. Reissue of the rare LP from 1982, plus additional material from various tapes of that period. Includes two long Industrial tracks in the way of Throbbing Gristle and 22 tracks of experimental minimal synth music, comparable to Cabaret Voltaire and Conrad Schnitzler. The 7" includes two tracks with vocals in best minimal synth style. All composed and recorded in the early 80s by Andy Wilson, who also played with Bourbonese Qualk, released a book about German band Faust and nowadays plays under the names Sunseastar and The Grand Erector. Recorded on the very Sunday after finishing their 2005 album "Brombron", Ielasi and Stelzer hooked up with Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard to record a delicate work of improvisation, using the studio's old analogue synthesizers, cassette tapes, guitars and electronics. The session was recorded on multi-track and mixed by Frans de Waard shortly after, with some minor revisions by Roel Meelkop much later. Comes with a remix by Evala, Port's in-house composer of all delicate delights. Japanese import in a cardboard sleeve with 'lot number'.

Alongside Hladowski’s voice, there’s the vocal input of Nalle’s Hanna Tuulikki – a voice as easily capable of gentle Qawwali as it is folk song. This is a record of heavy treble intricacy, Hladowski’s saz and bouzouki playing encompassing drones, folk, dervish progressive work and a woozy shimmer over and through the entwining melodies. Family Elan are more than just a project or a band, Hladowski has endowed the music here with a such a unique voice that shaky shorthand comparisons would be pointless and a short sell.
