Reissue of two old albums from Tasmanian necro BM legend Sin Nanna, brought together on vinyl for the first time. "Black Desolate Winter" was recorded during May 2005 and "Depressive Hibernation" was recorded during February 2005. This album is full of the undulating trademark buzzing guitars that Striborg employs, but the structure of the songs feel something like Burzum. 1 hour & 20 minutes of suffocating, depressive grimness.

Bleak, misanthropic, depressive black metal with blurry guitars, clean ephemeral bass and plodding, relentlessly pounding rhythms that create a very dark and ghostly atmosphere. Lyrics about the forest, fog and nocturnal desires. Contains a brand new recording along with the very rare 'Isle Des Mortes' demo from 1997. Striborg is one of Sunn O)))'s favourite Black Metal artists and was a big inspiration / influence on the recent 'Black One' album, and one of the tracks on that album was named after Striborg mainman Sin-Nanna. The US edition of this album came out on Southern Lord in the same year.

Another work of chilling lo-fi Black Metal / Black Ambient from "Australia's answer to Burzum". "...what it lacks in track quantity it more than makes up for in melancholic metal composition. Striborg opens the CD with this awesome keyboard work that is straight out a Hammer film or Last Man on Earth. It’s great. Then the album picks up with speedy black metal style drums and Sin Nanna’s unique guitar buzz... the title track, begins the album closedown with fast guitars that break up toward the end amidst more keyboard action and then are dropped altogether in the final track, where the keyboard and synth playing eases us into the night. This is the next chapter in Displeased records reissue series of old albums by Striborg - the prolific and often avant-garde touched one man Black Metal project from Tasmania.
