This album, dedicated to Austin Osman Spare, includes 60 minutes of pure magickal sounds, conceived by Different State and Sigill. Each of them represents a slightly different approach, although they are both connected by mystical, alchemical, ritual characteristics. Marchoff (Different State) describes his music as alchembient - a mix of illbient, a great deal of alchemical incantations and moans. Sigill is a project consisting of Brat Salo and Nantur; a duo creating electronic lunar spaces and astral soundscapes using samples and ancient instruments. It happened to me. I was looking for a source to figure myself out. I decided to check myself into a clinic for people who are addicted to drugs and have psychological problems. This wasn’t easy for me, as the state of my existence throws shadow. Everything was binding me. I talked to my doctor about needing electronic equipment to make samples and music. Basically I was lonely but I knew I could record some unconventional sound. I made samples of everything in my cell: metal bed, sink, plates, A/C, wood floor, guards… everything that surrounded me. When I got out, I had a picture of what I would do with the recordings. In my recording studio in Lindenhurst, Long Island, I joined together all the sounds plus analogues to create esoteric and unique music." 6-panel digipak.

KAULA - 'Avadhuta Gita Chapter I' CD (Doomentia)
Kaula's debut is the vision of one Pietro Riparbelli (K11), an Italian artist who not only composed and recorded the whole thing, but also designed its cryptic booklet and contributed with organs, medianic chants, field recordings and radio signals. Kaula is a whole different beast to K11. What could be seen at first glance at some kind of weird black-metal outburst - including rasping vocals courtesy of Rosy from old-school death-metal warriors Profanal and buzzsaw guitars - soon makes sure all rules go out the window by using various metal (doom, thrash) and non-metal (noise industrial) elements and create a sonic black hole. All lyrics are based here on ancient text called ‘Avadhuta Gita’, said to have been originally written in the IXth century. Marek Marchoff (Different State) has been creating experimental and Industrial sounds for 20 years. Without repeating himself, he is still searching, discovering new sounds and taking various initiatives. Together with MJ Caroline, he created his first field recording album. Marchoff treated field recordings as a palette of sounds by means of which he built a sonic horror story placed somewhere in Tilden fortress, where rhythms are composed of footsteps, beats, reverberations of basements, where only in the background life is throbbing and somewhere from the distance the moaning of war sirens can be heard. "Voxfields" is the fifth part of the ongoing IYHHH series. Ltd x 444 hand-numbered copies in an outsized ecopak.
Noise Maker's Fifes is an experimental performance group from Brussels. The first side of "Zona Incerta" is based on the choreography "Dyonisos' Last Day" from 2003 and uses material from various live performances. The second side is created from insect field recordings made in Kenya. "Zona Incerta" builds a hazy and foggy dimension.. sounds ebb and flow in and out... water and metal-sounds are recognisable in the sound-field, high insect-frequencies intertwine with all kinds of strange noises and animal sounds. Released in two different vinyl-colours, limited to 250 copies apiece: blue-green and clear (sorry, we are unable to state which colour you will get, as they're sealed). A form of message sent from the Earth to the brightest star, composed of 20 exclusive tracks prepared especially for this compilation. Sirius is the canine planet, the brightest star of the northern sky. Known since the ancient times, it has left an imprint on forming outlooks, beliefs, religious centres in many cultures. Even the ancient Egyptians worshipped Sirius as a deity, built their calendar on Sirius' cycle closely connected to the Nile tides before the summer solstice. In the 20th century the interest in the magical aspect of Sirius did not die out. Thanks to the Discordian groups with R.A. Wilson (the great philosopher to whom the compilation is dedicated) and T. Leary at the head, it is still being revived. The music on the album oscillates between psychedelic drone, dark ambient, tribal and down-tempo. Some of the projects approach the theme in the vein of ritualistic music; others realise their ideas through the sounds of universe and deep dark infinite space.
