ALBIREON - 'Mr. Nightbird Hates Blueberries' CD (Old Europa Cafe)
A dark comedy or a folk drama about drunk birds, mocking spiders, empty bottles and lost souls. For this decadent party, recorded between late 2008 to early 2010 and graced by great emotional neofolk ballads and more experimental gloomy soundscapes, Albireon invited some very selected guests to share this tasty blueberry cake and offer the album a different palette of vocal nuances and a multi-national coven of damned artists' parade: David E. Williams, Lloyd James (Naevus), Sonne Hagal, Future Whirl (formerly Oberon) and Die Weisse Rose are the selected guests of Mr. Nightbird's party. These great artists offered a priceless contribution to Albireon's music and lyrics, and perfectly painted the sad main character, in his struggling pilgrimage toward love, loss, forgiveness and rebirth, but all seen through the drunk eye of the mocking spiders.
DIE WEISSE ROSE - 'A Martyrium Of White Roses' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
When most other bands talk about Gesamtkunstwerke (total works of art), it sounds pretentious. When Die Weisse Rose do it, it makes sense. Die Weisse Rose are now available for the first time on record. The music is painstakingly crafted and orchestrated to include electronic elements, field recordings and real instruments, and its creative merits really stand out in an underground culture where bands of far lesser talents than Die Weisse Rose would release three albums in the time Die Weisse Rose have patiently worked on theirs. Digipak with booklet.

KLAMMHEIM - 'Heimwärts' CD (Heimatfolk)
Klammheim's debut is a collection of melancholic, soft-spoken and acoustic folk songs that occasionally reveal Klammheim's roots in heaver, rockier sounds. All vocals are sung in lead singer Dea's Styrian (Austrian) dialect, and to augment the band's line-up of guitars, accordion and percussion are guest musicians such as Thomas Bøjden (Die Weisse Rose) and Benjamin Sperling (Jännerwein). The album is based around the longing for the Heimat, the mythical homeland of German romantics and nostalgia for youth. Housed in a lavish digipak with 16-page booklet.
