ARDITI - 'Omne Ensis Impera' CD (Equilibrium Music)
The highly anticipated new album by the Swedish duo (Henry Möller of Puissance and Marten Björkman) is finally upon us. The sense of determination that echoes through their music and which has brought them to the forefront of Martial / Industrial Neo-Classical scene has stayed untouched. "Omne Ensis Impera" introduces an additional strength to Arditi's compositions - epic orchestral loops and thunderous percussions are granted a more prominent role, stirring the damp and suffocating ambiance that the duo have always produced so well with their use of ominous synths, obscure speeches and mesmerizing narrations. "Omne Ensis Impera" could well be a modern interpretation of the Futurist's goal of glorifying warfare to an artistic expression beyond its inherent violence and intrinsic sense of heroism. Mastered by Kamrat Nordvargr (MZ. 412, Toroidh etc), who also contributed to additional arrangements on a couple of tracks. Presented in a deluxe glossy Digipak, with embossed artwork.

BRIGHTER DEATH NOW - 'Breaking Down Nihil' 2 x CD (Der Angriff)
Recorded live during a short Russian tour in September 2009, these recordings are unique since the lineup was made of Russian artists and only Roger himself was a part of the common European live incarnation of BDN. The persons behind Anthesteria and LamiaVox joined him in Moscow, while the guys from Bardoseneticube and 414 were together with him on stage in St.Petersburg. The basic parts of the tracks were sent to them all in advance, so they prepared their own vision of this material, thus it was a pure conceived and well-organized collaboration. Both shows were recorded on multi-channel devices, then carefully mixed and mastered, so the final quality is close to the studio sound without losing any of the raw energy of live performance. The result is a very fresh and unexpected look on the well-known BDN compositions such as 'Innerwar', 'Pay Day' and 'Testing' which should be interesting not only for devoted followers of the project but for the wider audience of power electronics / death industrial fans. Ltd x 450 copies in a special embossed foldout envelope with cardboard inner sleeves.

STALNOY PAKT - 'Decima Mas / Il Principe Nero' 10" (Der Angriff)
Part 4 in the 'Art Of Prometheus' series. Less futuristic and rhythmic than previous works as Linija Mass. More atmospheric, yet still containing the raw density of noise aggression, though this acts as a kind of a shell for the inner delicate soundscapes, which lie beyond the harshness. Stylistically similar to the death-ambient of Archon Satani, or early Ain Soph. Ltd x 300 hand-numbered copies. Front cover printed with silver on black elite paper, back cover silver embossed on black paper. Russian import.

STALNOY PAKT / ANTHESTERIA / MIKHAIL VAVICH - 'Dedicated To The Russo-Japanese War 1904-1905' CD (Der Angriff)
A commemoration of one of the most tragic pages of Russian history in the 20th century - the Russo-Japanese War. This lost war became a deep scar in the national consciousness of that period and turned out to be among the most painful and powerful incentives for the following first Russian revolution (1905) and the further eventual decline of the Russian monarchy. This CD is an attempt to revive the deep anxiety and the premonition of the upcoming relentless social shock which had overwhelmed the Russian nation in those times. Stalnoy Pakt presents maybe its most melodic tracks to date here, the distinctive band's multi-layered dark ambient fused with old military Japanese song samples and old Russian lyrical narrations, sometimes adorned with piano chords or martial drums. Anthesteria's cold gloomy tunes are combined with choir chants and gramophone record samples that aggravate the atmosphere of the dull waiting for the imminent disaster. The album is concluded with an authentic historical recording of the classic track of the period called "Na Sopkakh Manchzhurii" performed by a very famous singer of that time, Mikhail Vavich. This funeral waltz dedicated to the victims of this war drives the overall feel of despair and grief up to the highest limit. The album could be compared to the best examples of historically inspired works but with its own very special and purely Russian depressive mood. An absolute must! A5 sleeve with inserts.

VETROPHONIA / F.T. MARINETTI / F.B. PRATELLA- 'Formula Of War' CD (Der Angriff)
Old-school analogue industrial from Vetrophonia (Alexander Lebedev-Frontov of Linija Mass & Stalnoy Pakt and Nick Sudnick) , influenced by the early 20th century's Futuristic era. Following the previous parts of the series made by Stalnoy Pakt, this release is also dedicated to WWI, expressing the aura of this time by means of sound and art. Original compositions written and performed by Futurism's leaders Francesco Balilla Pratella and Filippo Tommaso Marinetti are incorporated into the album, adding the spirit of time to the whole work.
