Das Synthetische Mischgewebe started in the early 80's in Berlin with electronical industrial / avant-garde associated cassette releases. All compositions by Guido Huebner, created between 1999 and 2004 in Caen, France and Berlin, Germany. Sections of track 6 recorded in the studio for electro acoustic music at the arts academy of Berlin. Field recordings for track 8 and 9 were carried out at the harbour of Hamburg, Germany, as well as at the shores of Lower Normandy and in the countryside around Caen, especially the bridges trespassing the canal between Caen and the sea. DSM is now the sole project of Guido Huebner, who has been working in the medium of sound and found objects since the early 1980s. DSM have their very own take on the patialisation of sound and the moving around of sonic objects in the stereo field. The overall impression is of rawness and fragility at the same time. The music on these two 10" records is super-dynamic and fragmented and sounds very fresh and alive. "Neunundvierzig Entgleisungen" comes in a full cover gatefold sleeve. The records play at 45rpm (the label incorrectly states 33rpm). Features texts by Jean Rene Lasalle, painting by Francoise Vigot and layout by Stefan Hanser (Anemone Tube). Ltd x 500 copies.

RALF WEHOWSKY & DAS SYNTHETISCHE MISCHGEWEBE - 'Die Eisenbüglerin' 2 x CD (Auf Abwegen)
The idea for this project was in the air since the late 1980s. RLW CD: the basic recordings were created by RLW from early-mid 2009, sound sources are instrumental (piano, trombone) and household objects. First detailed sketches of the compositions include heavily treated versions of these recordings, cross-modulations with sounds supplied by DSM and with DSM-variations of the RWL sounds sent to Caen. DSM CD: with very few exceptions he used only the original sound recordings of RLW, using treatments only what would be conceived to be already into the realm of the compositional strategies. Playing back recordings through 'no-fi equipment' and recording them again, while manipulating mechanically reproduction and recording devices. Ltd x 300 copies in an LP-sized sleeve reproducing an original drawing by Guido Hübner.
