  Asianova / 10inch ASIANOVA - 'Magnamnemonicon' 10" (Substantia Innominata / Drone Records)

First vinyl for Asianova - Ure Thrall of Voice Of Eye and Pamela Passmore, with several guests - and the second in the "Substantia Innominata" series from Drone Records (the first being Daniel Menche's "Radiant Blood"). Over 30 minutes of music inspired by "the unknown, the unnameable, the unspeakable, the unthinkable". Musically this release sits between experimental drone and ethno-ambient. Haunting sound effects and eerie female vocals are carefully layered over a combination of drones, soundscapes and ambience. File next to Hybryds. First edition of 500 copies with full colour cover and pressed on pink / white marbled vinyl.

Daniel Menche DANIEL MENCHE - 'Scattered Remains: Early Rarities' 2 x CD (Soleilmoon)

Keeping track of the musical output of Daniel Menche has never been easy. Besides his numerous albums and singles, released by an eclectic range of labels, he has contributed countless tracks to compilations, many of which reached only the smallest of audiences. “Scattered Remains” tracks his progress from 1995 through 1999, collecting the best of these pieces, now fully remastered, onto two full-length CDs. Besides the material culled from CD compilations, three tracks previously only available on vinyl appear in digital form for the first time ever.

Daniel Menche DANIEL MENCHE - 'Wings On Fire' CD (Tantric Harmonies)

Scorching and searing drones, heated and flaming rhythms and a burning ritualistic sonic force to be reckoned with. This noise inferno soars with volume and intensity that makes it the unheard soundtrack for the flight of Icarus - that is, if his wings did not melt and he did actually fly to the sun. This is Daniel Menche at his most ferocious sonic exploration. Call it extreme ambient or gorgeous noise,' Wings on Fire' is a must-have release to incinerate the speakers and melt the listener to a beautiful submission of sonic power. Presented in an outsized, textured gatefold sleeve. Russian import. Ltd x 555.

Fellahean FELLAHEAN - 'Insignificant Scrap' CD (Fellacoustic Records)

"...thirteen pieces of full-on electronics noise fuckery emanating from the same camp that exploded into the likes of Daniel Menche, The Incapacitants and infinite others whose smacks around the cranium have been long endorsed by RRR, for example. There are some interesting twists, turns and textures hewn from whats an otherwise immensely abrasive block of sound, lending the proceedings that all-important disorientating or vaguely psychedelic quality... Fellahean appear to be furnishing us with some appropriate enough reflections on the present age, and it'd be unfair they stop there, that's for sure" (Adverse Effect).

For One Four FOR ONE FOUR - 'Bone' CD (Home Tape Studio)

Reissue of a limited CDR from 2000 (Ltd x 60), with new artwork. A very strange, weird and obscure release from some mysterious Russian project called 414. Macabre rituals and studio improvisations in the vein of old school Italian industrial / experimental scene acts such as Tam Quam Tabula Rasa, early Sigillum S or some Ain Soph side-projects mixed with some prepared natural sounds a la PBK or Daniel Menche. Recommended for those with nostalgia for the golden days of 80s / 90s industrial. Ltd x 300 copies in a digisleeve.

Mike Shiflet / Daniel Menche MIKE SHIFLET & DANIEL MENCHE - 'Stalemate' CD (Sonoris)

Mike Shiflet is one of the most interesting artists of the new US noise scene. He ran the Gameboy label and has worked with C. Spencer Yeh / Burning Star Core, Brendan Murray, Francisco Meirino / Phroq & many others. Daniel Menche is recognized since late 80s as a major figure of the experimental music world, exploring the fringe between noise and drone in a heavy and organic way. For 20 years Daniel Menche has harvested a vast discography of solo and collaborations. "Stalemate", the first collaborative work between these two prolific American artists, is based on Hammond organ sounds and electronics. The result is a heavy body of work - a powerful drone based music with densely textured sounds and some deep bass that'll make your walls shake. Presented in a 6-panel outsize sleeve.
