Crisis / DIJ CRISIS - 'Holocaust Hymns' CD (Apop Records)

Crisis came into existence in the late '70s amidst the British hardcore punk movement. They took the same energy that came from the youthful, raw anger of the Oi! movement, but with restrained lyrical phrasing and strict rhythms. Members include Douglas P. and Tony Wakeford who would later expand upon some of the Crisis material for their Neofolk group DEATH IN JUNE. Wakeford later went on to form SOL INVICTUS, whilst Luke Rendall and Lester Jones would later find involvement in Theatre Of Hate and Sex Gang Children, respectively. This is Crisis' entire remastered discography from 1978-1980, complete with a 12 page booklet featuring exclusive photos from Douglas P.'s private archives.

Crisis CRISIS - 'Reactor4' CD (Syndrom Records)

Debut album from this UK Dark Ambient act (not to be confused with the Douglas P. / Tony Wakeford project of the same name). Reactor #4 was the nuclear reactor that exploded within the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Ukraine, in 1986. It was considered to be the worst nuclear disaster in history. The disaster left the city of Prypiat abandoned. To this day the city remains an exclusion zone. The recordings on this album were made to create a soundtrack to the whole era. 10 tracks of dark ambient with sampled voices from the Chernobyl nuclear disaster era, coupled with distorted signals and electronics. "The humming of analogue synths, the use of reverb, the mumbling of buried voices, the cold and desolate nature of this music. One could think of the old Maurizio Bianchi, area 'The Plain Truth', that depicts similar bleak, industrial landscapes" (Vital Weekly).

Survival Unit SURVIVAL UNIT - 'Tied Down For Survival' CD (Autarkeia)

Originally released as a limited edition in 2003 (self-released). At the times of global crisis, the zombies of cultural terrorism strike again with the fire of new toxic power. Tied Down For Survival is a old/new blow from the Scandinavian cult project Survival Unit to the rotten cancer of Western civilisation and the second collection of rarities in the golden collection of cultural terrorism series. This is an exceptionally suggestive, psychedelic power electronics with deeply terrorising implications. Here you will listen to unreleased live records, passages from limited edition utan fana and the controversial conspiracy theory of Rolf-Peter Andersson, where Swedish monarch family, Indira Gandhi and Mikhail Gorbachev practice cannibalism. Digipak.
