The second part is subtitled as "Feedback symphony" and is based on various recordings, presented in four movements and finished in 2007. One more chance to approve the exceptional skills and compositional / technical talent of David Myers who controls electrons by will, creating fantastic soundscapes. Ltd x 500.
Numancia was a small castro (Spanish for Celtiberian village). The inhabitants of Numancia fought against the Roman Empire for more than 20 years. In 133B.C. Rome sent their best general Escipion to create a siege and destroy Numancia so they could control the entire peninsula. However, when the Romans entered the village, the survivors decided to kill their own children, set their own belongings on fire and end their own lives. If the Empire controlled Celtiberia they could not control their people. Musically Numancia is a invigorating trip from the magnificence of the village to the final decision of choose to die instead of being conquered. Solid drums and ritual elements are mixed with Heathen tunes for the recognizable Ur-Folk sound. All texts are written and sung in Spanish and in the ancient Celtiberian language. Outsize sleeve.
"This Way", originally released in 1984 on Mute (STUMM 18), was Bruce Gilbert’s first solo album being realised in that brief period between Dome winding down operations and Wire reforming for first time. A stunning study of controlled ambience and subtle minimalism. The bulk of the album is taken up by the mighty 'Do You Me? I Did' / 'Swamp' pieces which were commissioned for a piece of the same name by choreographer Michael Clark. A grey tonal poem of amazing bleak beauty building up to the ecstatic crescendo of the third movement. This 25th Anniversary reissue is remastered by Russell Haswell and contains a rework of Angela Conway's artwork by Dave Coppenhall. Digipak.

CONTROL - 'Deadly Sins' CD (Malignant Records)
Another pulverizing display of power from Thomas Garrison's Control. 7 tracks, thematically centered around the 7 deadly sins (with each track clocking in at 7 minutes), originally issued an extremely limited release (just 50 copies!) for the Elektroanschlag 11 Festival earlier this year. There is no atonement here, nor redemption offered. Just cold, jarring currents of massively built power electronics and horror filled death industrial, full of clamoring factory debris, razor sharp sheets of sonic violence, and grisly metallic grind, rounded out with Garrison's trademark vocal devastation. CONTROL - 'Natural Selection' CD (Eibon Records)
2003 album from this legendary U.S. Power Electronics / Harsh Noise unit, headed by Thomas Garrison (Exsanguinate member and label boss of Misanthrope Studio). Concrete and abrasive songs, consuming and devastating sounds, evolving and mutating noise. You're your aspirins at hand. "Natural Selection" has a direct approach with "in-your-face" PE cuts. CONTROL is here to crush you. Superb album presented in a digifile.
CONTROL - 'The Means To An End' CD (Eibon Records)
Redefining the concept of aural aggression. Structured, multi-layered, hyper-complex Power Noise. Sharp like a surgical scalpel and powerful like a demolition hammer, the music of Thomas Garrison's Control adds a new meaning to the abused "Power Electronics" definition. The only good way to describe "The means to an end"? A fierce beast constrained (temporarily...) in a steel cage, far too small to contain its natural aggressiveness. The cage won't last forever...
CONTROL RESISTANCE - 'Declaration 1994-2011' CD (Freak Animal)
The complete works of controversial Texan Power Electronics act Control Resistance. This CD collects together compilation tracks, a 10" side project and a Con-Dom track featuring CR material. Also includes a new, unreleased track from 2011! From heavy and fierce throbbing power electronics to rhythmic industrial-metal. Don't buy if you're easily offended.

CONTROL UNIT - 'The Fugitives' LP (Backwards)
The mighty New York guitarist Ninni Morgia, usually devoted to experimental, improv, free-jazz and avant-garde, turns himself for this occasion into a real Industrial musician, together with his companion Silvia Kastel, a young multi-instrumentalist and vocalist with a strong attitude for the bleak and jarring sounds from the first industrial music wave. "The Fugitives" sounds like a perfect car-crash between the early US and English industrial scenes, influenced by 'great Industrial music from 1978' (Factrix, Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire). Four intense episodes of pure madness, obscure and sensual at the same time, thanks to Morgia's devastating technique and delirious strings, and Kastel's hypnotic groans, biting screams and caustic, powerful synthetic raids. Ltd x 250 copies with handmade, silkscreened sleeve.
Legendary album from Industrial / Noise pioneers Controlled Bleeding (Joe Papa, Paul Lemos, Chris Moriarty). A retrospective of sorts, bringing together their original harshness and violence with their later rich melodic minimalism, coherently covering 5 years of the group's early history (1983-85), dating back to "Knees And Bones". All tracks are either previously unreleased or from out-of-print releases. Includes the harsh noise classic 'Swallowing Scrap Metal'. This rare cassette version has 3 extra tracks, not available on the vinyl version. Still sealed!
This 6-track release continues in the same vein as "Wasteland", but is less rhythmic and more deep and meditative, being maybe the most dark and melancholic Cyclotimia release to date. Analogue electronic layers submerge listener to an atmosphere of uneasy hallucinatory reverie. Subtle clear sound and sad melodies unite to create the unique mix of cold psychedelia and soulful grief. Reminds of Controlled Bleeding, Raison D'etre and Reutoff in places. Ltd x 300 copies in a silver on black print deluxe card sleeve.

DEISON / K.K. NULL - 'Into' CD (Silentes Minimal Editions)
New collaboration between Japanese sonic wizard Kazuyuki Kishino (Zeni Geva, Null etc) and Italian noise master Deison. Penetrating 'Hi-tech' music, always on the border between sound, silence and noise. Splinters of sonic fragments, buzzings, electronic hisses, pulsations, hypnotic loops, ambient textures, sudden rays of light. A kaleidoscope of synthetic sounds and digital glitches, in a universe dominated by binary codes, that evolves through the cold-hearted control of sophisticated algorithmic mutations programmed by human entities that already reached a level beyond the borders of our earthly knowledge...
Ex.Order disrupt your synapses with "Corporate Control". Ten new tracks of an immensely raw sonic and violent aesthetic, constructed through dark throbbing machine noises, crushing rhythmic layers and vocals. Highly explosive heavy electronics, uncompromising and provocative both sonically and visually. An unforgiving tour de force capturing the perfection of disorder. The absolute response to the nightmare that is the world we live in. Ex.Order is the Power Electronics alter-ago of Inade.
FIRE IN THE HEAD - 'As The Nest Burns' CD (Autarkeia)
"As The Nest Burns” is an album about the darkest depths of psychosis, about the delusions and actions over which one has no control when entrenched in a manic state and the nightmares from which some never awaken. It is an album born in the blackest of times, to be listened to in the blackest of times. With this recording F/I/T/H experiments with new arsenal of sounds and techniques adding a heavily psychedelic edge to his mix of noise / power electronics / drone. These are the straight-jacketed screams from the bowels of a mental institution. Ltd x 400 copies.
Reissue of the extremely limited (30 copies) Apocalyptic Radio release from 2006, with bonus, previously unreleased, tracks. "30 Monkeys" is the soundtrack for a world controlled by apes, crushing machines and noisescapes. "The music is a degenerate mass of harsh electronic waves and patterns as savage as the primate of the title. Even when Flutwacht lower the decibel levels down a fraction the violent restraint is never far from the surface. A brooding seething mass of noise waiting to erupt once more. The production on this release is crisp and clean... and this gives the recording a greater sense of depth and bite allowing the hugely powerful electronics full reign to take centre stage... Take the best aspects of Propergol, minus the samples, and multiply the effect by ten" [Heathen Harvest]. Ltd x 300 copies in an A5 card envelope with insert.

GALERIE SCHALLSCHUTZ - 'Montauk Project' CD (Tesco Organisation)
Galerie Schallschutz delivers another superior release with strong thematic content. "Montauk Project," also called the "Phoenix Project" during some of its phases, was a covert government operation that took place during the '70s and early '80s at an abandoned Air Force radar base in Long Island, New York. Much evidence has surfaced indicating that the base and the subterranean facilities were (and still are) used for top secret, ultra-classified research and experimentation into inter-dimensional technology, quantum and particle physics, black hole simulation, electro-magnetic fields, weather control, psychotronics, particle beam technology (HAARP transmissions), and mind control. Galerie Schallschutz provide you with the perfect soundtrack to go further into this secret world. Presented in a special 6-panel DVD digipak with lenticular sticker.
HOARFROST - 'Puppets Of The Divine Coroner' CD (Zoharum)

A hostage of a development, which has to proceed faster, faster and faster? A slave of money? A victim of his own ambitions? A castaway in a city of human zombies? A resident of a big cemetery, where he entombed his free will? A puppet? But in whose hands? IRM - 'Order4' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
Swedish artists Martin Bladh and Erik Jarl, joined by Mikael Oretoft. "Order4" delves into the psyche of the self inflictor - the core of inner regions violently exposed. Comprised of four tracks, each exactly 15 minutes in length, we are thrown into a vortex of feedback, drones, heavy bass, nightmarish piano and irreproachable synthwork. The clinical heaviness of earlier works are now transformed into a pure harsh, static soundwaves. The lyrics here are deeper cuts into personal matters. A man altering between life and death - a calculating and delusional thinker and recluse who has lost his grip of reality, or perhaps found another? The strife for self-control turned into sick dedication, waging war on himself to receive recognition - the end comes nearer. Digipak.

KONRAD KRAFT - 'Temporary Audiosculptures And Artefacts' CD (Auf Abwegen)
Trying to set musical events in a sculptural form, German artist and musician Detlef Funder (a.k.a. Konrad Kraft), develops the temporary audio-sculpture. Human imagination, time, as well as the tonal event itself are the elements for the listener to form an individual audio-sculpture and to let it develop in their heads. MUSTERION - 'The Wondrous Journey Through The Catacombs Of Life' CD (Horus Cyclic Daemon)
The second album of Musterion is built upon complex and obscure composition techniques and musical innovation, dragging the listener on a brilliantly imaginative and frightening journey that combines elements of dark ambient, surrealism, absurdity, with the help advanced structural and theoretical considerations in terms of the composition. The tale concerns mind control by psychic, electronic, sexual, subliminal and other means. Simon AA Kölle (Abnocto, Za Frumi) exorcises some demons of his own, where the rhythm of a piece could be dictated by breathless inspiration more than moving pictures (as with film music) or to fit a specific genre. Yet he again expands and evolves the genre of dark ambient into art music. A shifting pace of both horror and atmosphere, incorporating organic instruments and electro-acoustic instruments. Improvisations, twisted circus music, industrial parts and many atmospheric moments give way for a highly symbolic album where all elements are pieces of the broken puzzle. PUISSANCE - 'Back In Control' CD (Equilibrium Music)
Following the awe-inspiring debut "Let Us Lead", Puissance would return a couple of years later to unleash "Back In Control", a cynical tribute to human evolution and how such evolution inevitably seems to dictate the end of the World and mankind's own extinction. The impending man-made apocalypse which Soderlund obsessively narrates is superbly illustrated by epic martial compositions, to which the pace is set by loud marching drums and Industrial percussion. A compelling work of art, that would bring Industrial music to a new climax, thanks to the glorious Neoclassical arrangements that Puissance have developed for the album. Originally issued via Cold Meat Industry, this rare classic is now finally made available again. "Back In Control" has been remastered and enhanced with one bonus track. Deluxe digipak edition with embossed cover.
PUISSANCE - 'Mother Of Disease' CD (Equilibrium Music)
Reissue of Puissance's 1999 album. With the Industrial rust of early days properly polished, the Swedish duo would further explore their talent for graceful arrangements set to Militaristic Neo-Classical music. Following the overtly confrontational offerings of "Let Us Lead" and "Back In Control", Puissance were now set to resurrect the ghosts of Cold War and the obsession with all things thermonuclear that haunted the planet - the Mother of Disease, as they would call it - over that period. Brooding hymns to suicidal heroism, devotional praises to a new god that would finally bring closure to the human race, the screeching of metal twisting and melting - all of this would find its place in Puissance's own beautiful vision of the impending apocalypse, that they so ingeniously depict on "Mother of Disease". This fine collection, it has been re-mastered and enhanced with one bonus track, presented in a matte-blue deluxe digipak edition.

The membership was shifting, though focused around two members (Gary Mundy and Matthew Frith) and included contributions from several friends around the world. Featuring Tim Gane (Stereolab), Paul Lemos (Controlled Bleeding) and Pacific 231. This completely remastered disc features the complete 'Christ Knows' LP plus 3 previously unreleased bonus tracks. Classic old-school British Industrial.
The mysterious Portland ensemble Trees return with their second offering - two new fetid death rituals scraped from the crypt. Black glacial riffs suspended in space, tectonic percussive rumbles, anguished shrieks of torment, deep guttural demon throat singing, and endless sheets of glistening metallic feedback that spill and drift to the far edges of their time-stretched ambient doom, a crumbling, blighted majesty, noxious ambient blackdoom adrift on putrescent tides. Austere slabs of crushing heaviness arranged into ghoulish constructs of atmospheric dread, moving so slow that the music seems to lose all sense of propulsion at times... the guitars stretched into massive decomposing drones, the spaces between infested with controlled bursts of incredibly slow and ponderous drums. "Freed Of This Flesh" inhabits the same depths as Burning Witch, Monarch, Khanate, and Bunkur. Digipak.

VA - 'Tension State Of Collapsing Vol. I & II' 2 x CD (Industrial Recollections / Freak Animal)
1995-1996 could be described as the golden years of Texas noise. These 2 compilations curated by Richard Ramirez, originally released on tape, proves it. WILLIAM S. BURROUGHS - 'The Instrument Of Control' CD (Archivio Letterario)
Collection of rare recordings of William Burroughs in conversation and readings from the 1970s/80s. This is an essential insight into the mind and writings of arguably the most influential writer from the Beat generation. "Through his mordant satire of cultural aspirations, homosexual eroticism and political power, Burroughs focuses our gaze into the abyss. His cold, surgical language creates beauty through a terror that we are just able to bear". A great collectors' item! Italian import.
