Aeterna AETERNA - 'New Dawn' CD (Cold Meat Industry)

Awake the New Dawn! Aeterna is a new apocalyptic folk outfit from Germany. In the beginning it was intended to be the strictly personal musical outlet for founding member and artist Birthe Klementowski, but the dynamics between Alpha and Omega brought forth something new. The dark and brooding atmospheres invoke the mood of decline and decay, a direct resemblance to the artist's photography. The album 'New Dawn' ultimately presents 11 songs about the decline and rebirth of culture. The music is based on ritualistic and shamanistic structures, mainly acoustic sounds, and invoking chants - all based on the dualistic principle of male and female energy - Alpha & Omega. Aeterna is a trans-modern, neo-shamanistic, animistic art project. A Luciferian hymnus to awake the New Dawn... 6-panel digipak.

All My Faith Lost ALL MY FAITH LOST - 'In A Sea, In A Lake, In A River... Or In A Teardrop' CD (Infinite Fog Productions)

Reissue of the second album from Italians All My Faith Lost (with the original lineup of 4), originally issued on Sin.Org. This album focuses on the spirits of the water, with stories and tales that tell about faeries, witches, elves and everything else living in the water. Water that can be rain, the water of a river or of a lake but can be also a tear. Acoustic and classic guitars are the main instruments at the base of the compositions, flutes and delicate synths create, light arrangements giving that ethereal mood that would be more present in the following releases of the band (on Cold Meat Industry / Projekt). The vocal parts are equally divided amongst male and female, creating a perfect balance between heavenly/frail and profound/dark atmospheres. Ltd x 1000 copies in a gatefold digisleeve.

  BJ Nilsen / ZEV BJ NILSEN & Z'EV - ' 22' 22" ' CD (iDEAL Recordings)

BJ Nilsen has been recording deep experimental music since the early 90’s with darkness as his best companion. He released legendary stuff for Cold Meat Industry as Morthound, which drifted into his Ash International and Touch works as Hazard and nowadays as BJ Nilsen. He is now focusing on the power of sound and the sound of nature and its effects on humans. London-based percussionist Z’EV is a true legend from the underground. He was one of the key operators of Industrial culture (1978-1984). The atmospheric impact of this collaboration is massive. Their genius is the power of drone and the beauty of trance. They build dark atmospheres that are at the same time disturbing, meditative and enjoyable. Digipak.

Brighter Death Now is the personal project of Roger Karmanik, founder of Swedish label Cold Meat Industry. A box without tricks! No fillout material! No extras! No instrumental versions! No remixes! This is BRIGHTER DEATH NOW, and it's Very Little Fun. When most other bands talk about Gesamtkunstwerke (total works of art), it sounds pretentious. When Die Weisse Rose do it, it makes sense. Die Weisse Rose are now available for the first time on record. The music is painstakingly crafted and orchestrated to include electronic elements, field recordings and real instruments, and its creative merits really stand out in an underground culture where bands of far lesser talents than Die Weisse Rose would release three albums in the time Die Weisse Rose have patiently worked on theirs.   Foundation Hope FOUNDATION HOPE - 'The Faded Reveries' CD (Cold Meat Industry)

Foundation Hope was formed in 2003 by Joep Smaling. The main idea was to make dark cinematic soundscapes with a strong focus on the harshness and cruelty of everyday life. Ironically presenting itself as a foundation, an institute that comforts seeking souls in times of distress, it is instead an attempt to confront the listener with moods of isolation, despair and sorrow. Drones, strings, melancholic tunes, confusing vocal-samples and cinematic moods. A very successful follow-up to their 2006 debut "A Call To All Redeemers" (Divine Comedy Records).

Golgatha / Dawn Dusk Entwined GOLGATHA AND DAWN & DUSK ENTWINED - 'Sang Graal' CD (Cold Meat Industry)

’Sang Graal’ is an opus magnum, built in symbiotic collaboration during the last two years by the French masters of martial neo-classic Dawn and Dusk Entwined and the German Ritual-folk-band Golgatha. Both bands worked on all tracks together, combining their styles and forces to create a powerful neo-classical-folk-opera with occasional glimpses of soundtrack pathos and dark ambience. Martial tunes like ’The Messiah’ or ’Cross of Lorraine’ and majestic folk hymns like ’Crusade’ and ’A Seeker Divine’ will rule the darkest dance floors worldwide, while introspective ballads invite those interested in a deep listening experience. The title refers to the myth of the Saint Graal, the ’holy grail’, and the ’sang réal’, the bloodline of Jesus Christ. ’Sang Graal’ is true aural mythology! Digipak.

Heid HEID - 'Pilgrim Of The Sublunary World' CD (Cold Meat Industry)

From the forested outbacks of northern Sweden, a formation known as Heid rose with the midnight sun. Heid paid due respect to the Swedish tradition - a pedigree including Raison d'Etre and In Slaughter Natives. Heid instantly spoke with a unique voice, a distinct Nordic expression resonant with the majesty of their homeland: the deep forests, the bottomless lakes, the foaming rapids, and the distant howls of the last predators. Heid created a dark, dystopian sound, that rendered them a formidable reputation. Heid disbanded in 2000, but the legacy carried on through Survival Unit and LEAK. This CD retrospective is a fitting epitaph. Digipak.

This is the first CD without earlier member Johanna Rosenqvist, now the solo project of Lirim Cajani. A solid Power Electronics tribute to the struggle of the little man. A strong delivery of faith to the oppressed and a raging ripper for your right to only remain. The sound is more up-front live-centered, almost totally devoid of rhythms throughout and with a lot of anguished and hateful vocals.   IRM IRM - 'Order4' CD (Cold Meat Industry)

Swedish artists Martin Bladh and Erik Jarl, joined by Mikael Oretoft. "Order4" delves into the psyche of the self inflictor - the core of inner regions violently exposed. Comprised of four tracks, each exactly 15 minutes in length, we are thrown into a vortex of feedback, drones, heavy bass, nightmarish piano and irreproachable synthwork. The clinical heaviness of earlier works are now transformed into a pure harsh, static soundwaves. The lyrics here are deeper cuts into personal matters. A man altering between life and death - a calculating and delusional thinker and recluse who has lost his grip of reality, or perhaps found another? The strife for self-control turned into sick dedication, waging war on himself to receive recognition - the end comes nearer. Digipak.

KnifeLadder KNIFELADDER - 'Music/Concrete' CD (Cold Meat Industry)

KnifeLadder have been in existence in one form or another since 1998. Their sound is the culmination of years of experimentation and independent development. The resultant sound is a heavily percussive industrial organic hybrid, a new meshing of electronic loops, live bass and percussion and ethnic instrumentation to form a kind of Organic Industrial Music. "Music/Concrete" is a unique mix of hi-tec and lo-fi sounds, authoritative drums courtesy of John Murphy, and distorted obscure instruments. With shuddering machine loops overlaid with frenetic metal percussion, power ambient soundscapes melting into epic defiant anthems, "Music/Concrete" uses traditional hand played electronics and instrumentation to realise a thoroughly contemporary vision of rebirth and decay.   Moljebka Pulse MOLJEBKA PVLSE - 'Tamon' CD (Segerhuva)

Mathias Josefsons one-man-project Moljebka Pvlse from Stockholm, Sweden here stretches the boundaries of ambient drone-music, perhaps a surprising listen for those accustomed to his other recordings put out by Eibon and Cold Meat Industry to name a few. This work to a larger degree features a sound pallette unarguably harsher than his other recordings. Tons of frenzied, computerised, but crispy clear distortion flows out over you like an ice wall and leaves the listener in a nervous state, begging for a warming aftermath. Static walls of rampant treated guitars and billowing droney backgrounds screaming endlessly out over the cold plains of the earth. Ambient gourmets also get their piece, though somewhat in a more experimental way. The final track is the 16-minute long soundtrack to the movie "A Bird Is Not An Animal" by D & D Productions. Moljebka Pvlse is Mathias Josefson from Stockholm, Sweden. With releases on labels such as Eibon, Segerhuva and Cold Meat Industry, he has become one of the most appreciated purveyors of ambient drone music. While the previous album "Tamon" was an excursion into static and distortion, "The Leaves of Their Songs" is a return to the earlier hypnotic audio sculptures. Once again, Moljebka Pvlse combines heavily processed guitars and electronics to perfection, creating six tracks of mind-bending ambient minimalism in the vein of Troum and Thomas Köner.

New Risen Throne NEW RISEN THRONE - 'Loneliness Of Hidden Structures' Enhanced CD (Cyclic Law)

The latest chapter of a series from Italy's New Risen Throne that began with "Whispers Of The Approaching Wastefulness" (Cyclic Law, 2007) and continued on with "Crossing The Withered Regions" (Cold Meat Industry, 2009). The first of this series is explained as the annunciation of the end, while the second part was expressing the advent of this end. Now this third chapter speaks of rebirth. Within the caves and ruins left by the destruction, there begins to form the first foundations and structures of a reconstruction that is in turn in constant evolution. The album's tracks are structurally organised in order to evoke that evolution. Filled with NRT's now trademark sound of deep cavernous drones, processed voices and percussive moments, this album features exclusive remixes by Nordvargr and Northaunt.   Passione Nera PASSIONE NERA - 'Research EP' MCD (Cold Meat Industry)

The first offering from this Rome outfit. Originally conceived in 2005, Passione Nera has evolved from a folk-pop creature into a fully-fledged chamber-pop ensemble. The band keeps one watery alcoholic eye fixed on the cinematic tradition, with melodic landscapes that are dusty and melancholy. These scenes are then wrapped up in lush, orchestrated songs with acoustic and electric guitars taking the centre stage, and enhanced by a large array of additional instruments. It is as if the songs were written on the back of 1960s postcards brought back from some imaginary journey into “Americana”, then bred with French-pop, cross-fertilized with baroque-pop, and finally molded into a soundtrack for the broken-hearted, the disenchanted and the misunderstood. Features guest vocals from Simone and Piergiorgio of Spiritual Front. Digipak.

Puissance PUISSANCE - 'Back In Control' CD (Equilibrium Music)

Following the awe-inspiring debut "Let Us Lead", Puissance would return a couple of years later to unleash "Back In Control", a cynical tribute to human evolution and how such evolution inevitably seems to dictate the end of the World and mankind's own extinction. The impending man-made apocalypse which Soderlund obsessively narrates is superbly illustrated by epic martial compositions, to which the pace is set by loud marching drums and Industrial percussion. A compelling work of art, that would bring Industrial music to a new climax, thanks to the glorious Neoclassical arrangements that Puissance have developed for the album. Originally issued via Cold Meat Industry, this rare classic is now finally made available again. "Back In Control" has been remastered and enhanced with one bonus track.
