AETHERE - 'The Long Dark Tea-Time Of The Soul' CD (War Office Propaganda)
Third full length album in 3 years from Aethere. Emanuale Ratti, the man behind Aethere, started to compose music by trying to mix '70s space music with dark ambient in the vein of early Cold Meat Industry. Now Aethere has arrived with a perfect balance of old space music and ambient in the classic vein of Robert Rich or Alio Die, with strong tones of oppressive and depressive feelings. Digipak.
AGHAST - 'Herexei Im Zwielicht Der Finsternis' CD (Eternal Pride Productions)
Aghast was a project by Nebelhexe (who went on to form Hagalaz Runedance) and Nacht. Their one and only album "Hexerei Im Zwielicht Der Finsternis" was originally released in 1994 (Cold Meat Industry) and is real dark and gloomy ambient, played in a classical darkwave vein. Minimalism in musical content, compensated by spooky and ice-cold vocals that will haunt you. Macabre enchantresses in lovely disguise will seduce you to end your life and take you through their ghastly realm from which you will never rise. Hear gods cry and angels fall. Listen to the horror and beauty. Let Aghast bewitch you! Russian reissue in a digipak.

ARCHON SATANI - 'In Shelter' CD (Dark Vinyl)
Second pressing of this must-have title! As member of the Cold Meat Industry family, Archon Satani is a familiar name to those following dark electronics. Five dark ambient structured tracks, with sometimes bleak and evil monotonous sounds. If you are fascinated by ritual sacrifice, ethereal atmospheres and excursions through darker ambience, this trip should be yours. IN SHELTER works through the power of hypnotism and this release is very minimalistic in function. Recommended!
BJ Nilsen has been recording deep experimental music since the early 90’s with darkness as his best companion. He released legendary stuff for Cold Meat Industry as Morthound, which drifted into his Ash International and Touch works as Hazard and nowadays as BJ Nilsen. He is now focusing on the power of sound and the sound of nature and its effects on humans. London-based percussionist Z’EV is a true legend from the underground. He was one of the key operators of Industrial culture (1978-1984). The atmospheric impact of this collaboration is massive. Their genius is the power of drone and the beauty of trance. They build dark atmospheres that are at the same time disturbing, meditative and enjoyable. Digipak.

DIE WEISSE ROSE - 'A Martyrium Of White Roses' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
When most other bands talk about Gesamtkunstwerke (total works of art), it sounds pretentious. When Die Weisse Rose do it, it makes sense. Die Weisse Rose are now available for the first time on record. The music is painstakingly crafted and orchestrated to include electronic elements, field recordings and real instruments, and its creative merits really stand out in an underground culture where bands of far lesser talents than Die Weisse Rose would release three albums in the time Die Weisse Rose have patiently worked on theirs. FOUNDATION HOPE - 'The Faded Reveries' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
Foundation Hope was formed in 2003 by Joep Smaling. The main idea was to make dark cinematic soundscapes with a strong focus on the harshness and cruelty of everyday life. Ironically presenting itself as a foundation, an institute that comforts seeking souls in times of distress, it is instead an attempt to confront the listener with moods of isolation, despair and sorrow. Drones, strings, melancholic tunes, confusing vocal-samples and cinematic moods. A very successful follow-up to their 2006 debut "A Call To All Redeemers" (Divine Comedy Records).

FOUNDATION HOPE - 'Tunes For The Wounded' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
‘Tunes For The Wounded’ can be considered a lament. It is a defamatory accusation to the world and it’s suffering. Foundation Hope lodges complaints through gritty ambient-industrial structures, broken sounds and despairing moods. Always without losing touch with the beautiful and melodic. Always with that tiny bright spark of hope, overshadowed by doubt and cynicism. This successor to ‘The faded reveries’ is a little more harsh, with distorted guitar drones, broken strings and noisy outbursts. Firmly rooted in reality, this is tears dropping slowly, a herd crawling through mud and blood, and a call to a redeemer who isn’t there. Digipak.

GOLGATHA AND DAWN & DUSK ENTWINED - 'Sang Graal' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
’Sang Graal’ is an opus magnum, built in symbiotic collaboration during the last two years by the French masters of martial neo-classic Dawn and Dusk Entwined and the German Ritual-folk-band Golgatha. Both bands worked on all tracks together, combining their styles and forces to create a powerful neo-classical-folk-opera with occasional glimpses of soundtrack pathos and dark ambience. Martial tunes like ’The Messiah’ or ’Cross of Lorraine’ and majestic folk hymns like ’Crusade’ and ’A Seeker Divine’ will rule the darkest dance floors worldwide, while introspective ballads invite those interested in a deep listening experience. The title refers to the myth of the Saint Graal, the ’holy grail’, and the ’sang réal’, the bloodline of Jesus Christ. ’Sang Graal’ is true aural mythology! Digipak.

This is the first CD without earlier member Johanna Rosenqvist, now the solo project of Lirim Cajani. A solid tribute to the struggle of the little man. KnifeLadder have been in existence in one form or another since 1998. Their sound is the culmination of years of experimentation and independent development. "Music/Concrete" is a unique mix of hi-tec and lo-fi sounds, authoritative drums courtesy of John Murphy, and distorted obscure instruments. ORDO ROSARIUS EQUILIBRIO - 'ONANI (Practice Makes Perfect)' Picture Disc LP (Cold Meat Industry)
Imagine the force of countless orgasms focused into a single purpose, a single vision made flesh - and you have Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio's 8th full-length album: O N A N I - [Practice makes Perfect]. This release, inspired partly by la petit mort (the little death achieved by one's own hands or by the hands of others) continues in the O.R.E. tradition of opulent depravity and decadent beauty. The music is seductive and somber, with a more "pop" orientation, which makes the songs all the more poignant. Lush guitars, pounding percussion, humming organs and pianos, church choirs, subtle moans, female vocals by Rose-Marie Larsen, a softly throbbing drum machine and the alluring voice of the visionary behind O.R.E., Tomas Pettersson (ex-Archon Satani). Sexual magic made manifest, or merely dandy decadence for the an erotic eschatology, or both - you decide. Ltd x 444 copies on a full-colour picture disc with A2 poster.
The first offering from this Rome outfit. Originally conceived in 2005, Passione Nera has evolved from a folk-pop creature into a fully-fledged chamber-pop ensemble. The band keeps one watery alcoholic eye fixed on the cinematic tradition, with melodic landscapes that are dusty and melancholy. These scenes are then wrapped up in lush, orchestrated songs with acoustic and electric guitars taking the centre stage, and enhanced by a large array of additional instruments. It is as if the songs were written on the back of 1960s postcards brought back from some imaginary journey into “Americana”, then bred with French-pop, cross-fertilized with baroque-pop, and finally molded into a soundtrack for the broken-hearted, the disenchanted and the misunderstood. Features guest vocals from Simone and Piergiorgio of Spiritual Front. Digipak.

PIMENTOLA - 'MM-MMV' CD (Twilight Records)
Finnish act PIMENTOLA has been active since 1996, originally with a line-up of two members. With a past release on War Office Propaganda and a future release on Cold Meat Industry, many of you will know what quality to expect! “MM-MMV” offers fine Neoclassical / dark orchestral music, while infusing ethnic and industrial sounds. Also incorporated are self-produced samples and acoustic instruments. An album very much in the vein of bands such as In Slaughter Natives or Raison D'Etre. Pimentola is a great and refreshing discovery and promises to have a bright future! Presented in a very nice digipak.
PIMENTOLA - 'Misantropolis' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
"Misantropolis" introduces more vocals than on past Pimentola releases; hysteric screams, gloomy choirs / harmonies; hand in hand with electronic sounds, sampling and acoustic instruments; accordion, violins, theremin, metal percussions and various kinds of drums. Ten ill star prayers from the Black Globe; an end of times sound-work ranging from martial neoclassical to rhythmic noise. Paralyzing absinthe nightmares morphed with opiatic tunes of the orient. Presented in a luxurious silver foilprinted 6-panel digipak and features guest appearances by members of Garmarna, Dead Man's Hill, Aprox and Somnivore.
PUISSANCE - 'Back In Control' CD (Equilibrium Music)
Following the awe-inspiring debut "Let Us Lead", Puissance would return a couple of years later to unleash "Back In Control", a cynical tribute to human evolution and how such evolution inevitably seems to dictate the end of the World and mankind's own extinction. The impending man-made apocalypse which Söderlund obsessively narrates is superbly illustrated by epic martial compositions, to which the pace is set by loud marching drums and Industrial percussion. A compelling work of art, that would bring Industrial music to a new climax, thanks to the glorious Neoclassical arrangements that Puissance have developed for the album. Originally issued via Cold Meat Industry, this rare classic is now finally made available again. "Back In Control" has been remastered and enhanced with one bonus track. Deluxe digipak edition with embossed cover.
Split from 2 Swedish noisers. Shift treats the listener to a dense and tormented composition. Violent vocals and high frequencies, with lots of noise and feedback. Institut (known from their releases on Cold Meat Industry) almost sounds peaceful in comparison. ‘Beginners’ starts as an Industrial soundscape, with low rumblings and vague Russian speech samples; but in true Institut style, the track gets more aggressive, veering into Power Electronics. STURMAST - 'Ibis Redibis Nunquam In Bello Peribis' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
