CHARLES MANSON - 'The Summer Of Hate - The '67 Sessions' CD (Arte Lupo)
Charles Manson's name should be no stranger to lovers of the weird and wonderful, having been sentenced to life without parole for his leadership of the cult "The Family", who committed several murders in the late '60s. Before these events, Charlie had high-hopes of becoming a pop star, with his strange psychedelic folk music - bizarrely more fashionable today than ever. Here for the first time are the complete recordings that were made on 11th September 1967 in a rehearsal studio, which went onto be used as demos to try to secure a recording deal, which never happened. Spoken word elements throughout the 18 tracks (just under 45 minutes). Essential for collectors of ‘60s Folk and weird psych freakouts.
