Bain Wolfkind BAIN WOLFKIND - 'Wasteland' MCD (Hau Ruck!)

This is Bain Wolfkind's fourth release on Hau Ruck! under this moniker. This release finds Bain Wolfkind treading a similar path to previous releases, only this time much darker, autobiographical, tragic and southern than ever before! Purely a solo 'back to basics' release with guitar, organ, tambourine, maracas, voice and nothin' much else. Think Leonard Cohen, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Young, Hank Williams and Michael Gira in a Mexican flophouse with a cheap guitar, a case of tequila and a tape machine. Digifile.

Der Blutharsch / VinylLP DER BLUTHARSCH - 'Flying High!' 2 x LP (WKN)

On their ninth studio album Der Blutharsch continues travelling in the direction they took back in 2005, when the former gurus of martial industrial / military pop rocketed towards the deep space of psychedelia. If you think of Sunn O))), Guru Guru, Amon Dül, Tangerine Dream or Godspeed You! Black Emperor you aren't too far away... but still inherent is that familiar apocalyptic feeling. Highly influenced by the American West Coast Sound of the late sixties with a small dose of Krautrock. Here's the line-up: Bain Wolfkind, Albin Julius, Gianni Serusi and Patrick Leagas. Der Blutharsch have mutated into a psychedelic rock monster; their motto, "into new territories!", symbolic for this mutation, a battle fought not by marching but by flying, 'Flying high!'. The DLP is housed in a superb gatefold cover and is limited to 750 copies only.
