First vinyl for Asianova - Ure Thrall of Voice Of Eye and Pamela Passmore, with several guests - and the second in the "Substantia Innominata" series from Drone Records (the first being Daniel Menche's "Radiant Blood"). Over 30 minutes of music inspired by "the unknown, the unnameable, the unspeakable, the unthinkable". Musically this release sits between experimental drone and ethno-ambient. Haunting sound effects and eerie female vocals are carefully layered over a combination of drones, soundscapes and ambience. File next to Hybryds. First edition of 500 copies with full colour cover and pressed on pink / white marbled vinyl.
Ure Thrall (Asianova, ex-Voice Of Eye) is an American artist from Houston, Texas, who is long active in the more atmospheric, transcendental experimental US-scene. His first vinyl release contains two long tracks with an organic, filmic and sublime quality, using echo-flutes, bass, e-bowed guitar and restrained percussion underneath. The whole 7” is a personal statement about the politics of the USA after this tragic day, which is expressed also in the cover artwork and the liner notes. Second edition of 300 copies on red / black marbled vinyl with full-colour sleeve and an insert.
